Are you looking for a better way to install a sign on your wall without having ugly screws showing? You might consider using stand-off installation hardware.
Stand-offs come in a variety of widths and depths. The size you use depends on the size of the sign and the look you want to achieve. Smaller signs might use a 1/2″ diameter cap, while a larger sign would typically use a 1 1/2″ cap.
The depth of the stand-off will depend on the look you want to achieve. Typically 3/4″ or 1″ is is all you need. But you can use a stand-off that will make your sign stand 2″ off the wall if you want.

Stand-offs can also serve to install a sign evenly on an uneven surface, such as a brick wall, thus preventing the sign from bending or warping on the rough or uneven surface. And for whatever reason you use them, stand-offs will make even a plain or simple look a little bit classier. Consider them for you next project.
